ChallengeNew customers mostly came from search

AudioRista builds branded apps for publishers, course providers and other content businesses. Most new customers found it through search ads and organic traffic, then filled in a contact form. The team wanted to reach decision-makers on LinkedIn with messages that had an edge, and saw American customers as good customers.

The goal: get AudioRista in front of the right founders and turn them into contact requests.

SolutionBuild awareness first, then ask for the contact

We ran English ads to founders and top management at publishers, media production and course companies with 1 to 200 employees in the US and Canada. The first month was about brand awareness, testing creatives and building retargeting audiences.

Publishing and e-learning did well, media production was average, and smaller companies clicked through to the website more. So we narrowed the audiences, dropped directors, tested copy and image colours, and then moved more budget into lead gen campaigns.

ImpactContact requests and sign-ups from a new market

Over 8 months the ads were shown 185,000 times, got 3,456 clicks and sent 536 visits to AudioRista's website. That brought in 13 contact requests and 6 sign-ups to the web product. Course providers delivered 60% of the clicks, and most of the conversions.

How we helped

What we did, and when

Awareness and testing first, then lead gen once we knew who engaged.

  1. Month 1

    Strategy and targeting

Strategy meeting, audiences for publishers, media production and course providers in the US and Canada, and ad copy and creatives.

  2. Month 1

    Launch

Awareness campaigns went live. The best ads reached click-through rates of 0.56% to 0.62%.

  3. Months 2 to 4

    Testing and optimisation

Copy and image colour tests, a tech leader test campaign, narrower audiences, then lead gen and conversation ads. Courses became the strongest campaign at 1.08%.

  4. Month 8

    Results

    185,000 impressions, 536 website visits, 13 contact requests and 6 sign-ups.

How we count. Months are counted from the first campaign. Month 1 and month 2 figures come from the month 2 report, which compares the two months. The third bar is the report delivered in month 4. Click-through rate is clicks divided by impressions, as reported by LinkedIn. Totals for impressions, ad clicks, website visits, contact requests and sign-ups come from the final report and cover the whole engagement. The 19 conversions are the 13 contact requests plus the 6 sign-ups.
