We recently kicked off a pilot with Elite Advertising to see if their expertise could boost lead generation for our European sales teams, and the early results are already exceeding expectations! By testing three different hooks, we’ve not only attracted highly interested leads but also gained valuable referrals. Elite Advertising is fast, agile, and a pleasure to work with, a real partner in sales.

SummaryMaersk Training: 61 qualified leads from LinkedIn outreach in the first 3 months.

How Elite Advertising helped Maersk Training reach HSE, training and operations leaders in the UK and Northern Europe on LinkedIn: 61 qualified leads in the first 3 months.

ChallengeWin new business in the UK and Northern Europe

Maersk Training is part of A.P. Moller–Maersk, one of the biggest shipping companies in the world. Its account managers sell safety, technical and leadership training to companies in high-risk industries.

The team wanted to see if LinkedIn could bring a steady flow of qualified leads for its European sales teams, among HSE, training and operations leaders in the UK and Northern Europe.

The goal: 60 qualified leads in 3 months across four profiles.

SolutionFour profiles, clear markets and three hooks per test

We ran outreach from four Maersk Training sales profiles. Two focused on the UK, with wind, oil and gas and green skills. Two focused on Denmark, Norway and Sweden, with oil and gas, defence, maritime, industrial production and wind.

Every test round compared three opening messages and kept the best. Warm, personal messages that named the real challenges, like fragmented training, expiring certificates and psychological safety, did best.

We also rewrote the profile headlines, which lifted acceptance rates on every profile.

Impact61 qualified leads in 3 months

Across the four profiles, 1,266 decision makers connected and 189 replied in the first three months. 61 of those replies became qualified leads, against goals of 60 qualified leads and 400 new connections.

The outreach continued after the first three months. By month 7, the total had reached 93 qualified leads.

How we count. Requests, new connections, people messaged and replies are monthly totals from the LinkedIn campaign data for all four profiles, added up by us. Reply rate is replies divided by people messaged (189 of 1,103). Qualified leads are replies that showed interest or referred us to the right person, counted in the lead tracking: 13, 33 and 15 in months 1 to 3. Replied is replies divided by new connections. The acceptance rate test uses one profile’s monthly figures. The goals come from the plan agreed at the start. Month 1 is the first month outreach was live.
