Talks with sustainability leaders at large companies.
Slow supplies businesses with coffee grown in regenerative agroforestry, and documents the impact for their sustainability reporting. We ran LinkedIn outreach from the commercial lead's profile to sustainability leaders at large Danish companies, and led with their ESG agenda rather than with coffee.
Results from Slow's LinkedIn outreach reports over 7 months.
Talks with sustainability leaders at large companies.
Replies that showed interest, referred us to a colleague or led to a meeting.
Almost four in ten new connections wrote back.
Sustainability leaders added to the commercial lead's network.
We tested four first messages. Asking what was on the reader's ESG agenda right now almost doubled replies compared with a soft introduction, because it started a conversation about their work instead of our product.
Reply rate is replies divided by messages delivered for each version, from about 75 messages each.
Slow sells coffee, but its real value is the climate, nature and farmer impact behind it. The people who buy office coffee are rarely measured on sustainability, and the people who are measured on it do not think about coffee.
The goal: open doors to sustainability leaders at large companies Slow would not otherwise reach.
We ran outreach from the commercial lead's own profile to sustainability leaders at Danish companies with more than 200 employees. The first round tested four opening messages: an open question about the ESG agenda, a soft introduction, social proof and an invitation to a coffee tasting.
The question and the social proof versions went through to a second round with two different follow-ups. Social proof with a clear invitation booked the most meetings, and we learned that senior roles at the largest companies responded best.
In the first 6 months, 382 sustainability leaders accepted the request and 148 replied. By month 7, 73 conversations were positive, including 10 referrals to colleagues and 13 booked meetings, and the acceptance rate rose from 36% in month 1 to 64% in month 5.
13 meetings booked with sustainability leaders in 7 months.
A launch in month 1, two rounds of message tests, and a report with next steps every few months.
Workshop on goals and audience, sustainability job titles at companies with 201+ employees in Denmark, and four opening messages.
Outreach went live from the commercial lead's profile. Month 2 brought 101 new connections and 45 replies.
The ESG question won the first test on replies. The second test paired the best openers with new follow-ups, and social proof booked the most meetings.
762 requests, 382 new connections and 148 replies in months 1 to 6, and by month 7, 73 positive conversations and 13 meetings booked.
New connections and replies for months 1 to 6, with the share of new connections who replied. Replies kept coming in month 7.
Commercial lead's profile, by month.
How we count. Months are counted from launch. Requests, new connections, replies and the monthly figures come from the outreach report for the commercial lead's profile. Acceptance rate is new connections divided by requests. Reply rate is replies divided by new connections, for each month and for the total. Meetings and positive conversations are counted from the reply log, which runs into month 7: 50 interested, 10 referrals and 13 meetings booked. The opening message test rates are replies divided by messages delivered for each version.
Tell us who you sell to, and we will show you how we would reach them.
